AGE GROUP:

8 to 10 yrs old

DESCRIPTION:

Athletes should be comfortable on blue terrain and load the lift independently. Groups are a maximum 6:1 athlete to coach ratio. This group works towards refining the fundamental skills necessary for athletes to progress into strong, well-rounded skiers. Senior Gromlins will sample all three disciplines of the Purgatory Ski Team (Alpine, Freeride and Freestyle) so athletes can discover what they are most passionate about.

TUITION INCLUDES:

• Ten (10) Saturday training sessions
• Four (6) Night Skiing training  sessions at Chapman/Hesperus
• Total coaching time: 70 hours approximately

TUITION DOES NOT INCLUDE:

• Purgatory Resort/Chapman/Hesperus Ski Pass
• Seasonal Ski Rental/other equipment

EQUIPMENT GUIDELINES:

• Front entry 4 buckle boot
• Good Junior Mountain Carving Skis
• Appropriate Length Poles
• Proper Fitted Helmet
• Well-fitting goggles and gloves.
• Appropriate jackets and pants for various weather conditions.

Ability Requirements:

• Able to ride a chairlift with an adult 
• Skiing in a gliding wedge, wedge christy, or basic parallel 
• Able to ski blue terrain comfortably (in a wedge is fine)

WHERE AND WHEN:

• Beginning December 12, 2020, Saturdays at Purgatory, 9:30am-2:30pm.
• Training will take place Dec. 12, 19, Jan. 9, 23, 30 Feb. 6, 20, 27,  Mar. 6, 13.
• Night skiing sessions will be announced once weather conditions permit

TUITION FEE:

• Early Tuition Discount Price: $693.10 (if registered before 9/30/2020)
• Normal Tuition Price: $759.00
